Insurance Collector

Busy and growing pediatric office is seeking the right person to join our Business Office team. Since we base our success on the quality of our people, we value individuals who have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, willingness to learn new duties and the ability to work with our existing staff of professionals in a team-oriented environment.

We currently have an opening for an Insurance Collector/Biller who will be responsible for reviewing various reports to identify denials and edits; contact insurance carriers; correct and rebill claims properly; determine appropriateness for appeals and draft appeal letters; suggest action plan to eliminate these denials/edits in the future and elevate issues, as appropriate, to the Manager.


Qualification Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma, college degree preferred.
Coding Certification of CPC, CCS-P or NCCIS or equivalent

• Candidate must have an extensive understanding of insurance billing and collections.
• Understanding of CPT, ICD-9 coding as it relates to a physician's office setting.
• Knowledge Medicaid and commercial insurance policies/procedures
• Understanding of Alaska statutes relating to insurance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
• Two or more years' of employment experience in a healthcare environment
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office; previous experience with Allscripts Professional PM is a plus.

Refund Clerk

Busy and growing pediatric office is seeking the right person to join our Business Office team. We currently have an opening for a Refund/Account Receivables clerk, who will be responsible for reviewing various reports to identify insurance and patient credit balances and determine appropriateness for refund; transfer credits to other line items; log and complete refund transactions. Process and reconcile reimbursement received from insurance companies as well as patient payments.

Qualification Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma, college degree preferred.
Coding Certification of CPC, CCS-P or NCCIS or equivalent

Candidate must have:
• Excellent 10 key skills
• Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement
• Ability to decipher an Insurance Explanation of Benefits
• Accounting/Financial background
• Good communication skills in the English language.
• One or more years' of experience in a healthcare environment

Patient Service Representative

Are you looking for new challenges and a job that keeps you busy? Do you enjoy working in an environment that is focused on providing excellent patient service and healthcare for children and adolescents?

We are seeking customer focused, educated individuals to join our growing pediatric practice. Work hours may include day, late morning, early evening and some weekends.

Responsibilities include computerized appointment scheduling, filing, answering phone calls, checking in patients, etc. A minimum of a two year college degree is preferred. Applicants must be able to demonstrate competent computer skills and have a working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

The successful applicant must display a professional appearance, possess excellent phone and customer service skills and enjoy working as part of a team. Previous medical office experience is a plus! Contact our office to complete an application.
